London MCM Conic Convention 2018

We had great fun at the London Comic Convention in October 2018. Steve took a flight over from Geneva a day earlier so that he could do a bit of “tourism”, as well as looking for inspiration for the next invention!

I (Andy) arrived a day later, and then we went to set up ready for Friday trading. Here is the table with Steve:

With this being our first ever MCM Comic Convention, we didn’t know what to expect. Fortunately, the Friday trading was a little more subdued as it meant we had a chance to walk around and take in some of the other stands. The Avengers one looked quite fun – although I’m sad to say I didn’t get a chance to have a go on the bike:

After a nice relaxed evening on Friday, we got ourselves ready for Saturday trading. Several of the other vendors told us it could be MANIC … and they were not wrong! We had breakfast at 7 am, arrived and were ready to trade by 9 am, and then we didn’t get a chance even to get some lunch until 4pm! Lesson learned – take more than just some sweets to nibble on next time.

We had some real characters coming over to visit our table. From galaxies far far away:

…to Presidents from just over the pond:

It was so much fun mixing and mingling with everyone.

Sunday was a bit more relaxed, but that was nice as it meant we were able to walk around and pick up some souvenirs for ourselves.

We are both looking forward to booking in for the next Comic Convention in May 2019, but for now, this is over and out
