Steampunk Daily: Steampunk Junkies Artwork: Steampunk ray gun

Once upon a time, in a world filled with gears, steam engines, and clockwork contraptions, there was a scientist named Dr. Victoria Wilder. She had always been fascinated by the power of plasma and the potential it held as a weapon.
Dr. Wilder spent years studying plasma and experimenting with ways to harness its energy. Finally, she created a steampunk ray gun that used plasma as its primary weapon. The gun was a masterpiece of Victorian engineering, with intricate brass and copper gears, valves, and pipes woven together to create a stunning weapon.
She was thrilled with her creation, and couldn't wait to see it in action. She took the gun to the local shooting range and fired it at a metal target. The plasma burst hit the target with a bright flash of light and a deafening roar. When the smoke cleared, the target had been completely melted through, leaving a smoking hole in its wake.
Excited by the gun's success, Dr. Wilder took it out into the world to see what other uses it could have...
